World Bowls is pleased to be continuing to support the Ghana Bowls Federation.

During the recent Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, World Bowls welcomed a delegation from the Ghanaian Government, who joined Bowls Ghana President Charles Obeng Amofah for a series of productive meetings.

These discussions focused on the continued development of bowls in Ghana, with World Bowls reaffirming its commitment to supporting the growth of the sport throughout the country after being instrumental in the launch of the Ghana Bowls Federation in 2025.

Neil Dalrymple, CEO of World Bowls, said: “During the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, we were delighted to welcome representatives from the Ghanaian Government alongside Bowls Ghana President Charles Obeng Amofah. The meetings held during the Games reinforced the exciting opportunities that exist for the continued growth of bowls in Ghana, and World Bowls remains committed to providing ongoing support to assist that development.

“Ghana is a wonderful example of the potential to expand our global bowls community, and initiatives such as this play an important role in helping the sport reach new participants and communities.

“We are extremely grateful to Graham Robertson and Henselite UK for their generous donation of bowls equipment. Access to quality equipment is vital in helping new players experience and enjoy our sport, and this contribution will support the continued development of bowls in Ghana for years to come.”
