We’re now at the pointy end of the 2023 World Bowls Indoor Championships, as the bowlers head into their finals campaigns over the next two days. The atmosphere is going to be electric as the best indoor bowlers in the world face off for their chance at a world title.

If you can’t get to Warilla Bowls & Recreation Club to see the action live, then you can tune in from your lounge room, office, club or even on the train, as we’ll be live streaming the finals action from the World Bowls Facebook page over the next two days.

The top 16 women’s singles finalists include stand-outs Nurul Alyani Jamil (Malaysia), Katelyn Inch (New Zealand), Kirsty Hembrow (England) and Julie Forrest (Scotland), who all go through undefeated.

World Bowls CEO Neil Dalrymple was very happy with the quality and presentation of the 2023 World Indoor Championship and said, “this event will culminate in an exciting 2 days of final matches at the Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club on Thursday and Friday this week.

A very strong field of players from a diverse range of Member Nations have participated in this year’s event, and it is very pleasing to see the continual improvement of some of the smaller bowling nations”.

Dalrymple expects to see a highly competitive 2 days of bowls, stating,  “picking a winner in all disciplines (Mixed Pairs, Women’s singles and Men’s singles) is really tough with many strong chances to win a World title.”

Congratulations to all participating nations on their efforts to make the finals.

We’re pleased to announce the top sixteen women’s singles players and lineup:

In the Men’s Singles championship, leading the charge is Australia’s Aron Sherriff, who dominated his section. He is joined by the similarly undefeated Michael Stepney (Scotland), Malaysia’s impressive Izzat Dzulkeple,  as well as Andrew Kelly (New Zealand) and Connor Milne (Scotland), all who impressed in sectional rounds. But they have some fierce competition who will be pulling out all stumps to progress through the final stages.
