The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has released the first Athlete Corner newsletter for 2026, continuing its commitment to keeping athletes informed and at the centre of clean sport.

Originally launched in December 2025 as a quarterly initiative, the newsletter has now been officially named Athlete Corner following a global athlete vote.

What’s included in the latest edition

The new issue covers a wide range of important updates and insights for athletes, including:

  • Key information on the upcoming 2027 World Anti-Doping Code
  • Progress updates on the Human Rights Impact Assessment and the Athlete Anti-Doping Experience project
  • A new behind-the-scenes video featuring experts from the Prohibited List team answering common athlete questions
  • Highlights from recent international events, including youth competitions and major multi-sport Games
  • Important dates for athletes, including Play True Day 2026
  • Two athlete surveys focused on:
    • Anti-doping independence and trust in clean sport
    • Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) and future education topics
  • Updates from the WADA Athlete Council, including new members and leadership developments

Stay informed and get involved

WADA is encouraging Anti-Doping Organisations and sporting bodies to share the newsletter widely to help reach athletes around the world.

Athletes are also invited to contribute feedback through the included surveys and stay engaged with ongoing developments in clean sport.
