World Bowls is saddened to share the news of the passing of Barry Fleming, a highly respected figure within the bowls community.
Barry, who dedicated many decades of service to the sport he cherished, holding numerous prominent roles throughout his life, was a World Bowls director, 2008-2012.
“Barry was a true character of our game who contributed at every level and at every stage of his career, on and off the green,” said World Bowls president Brett O’Riley.
“Our hearts go out to Betty and to other family and friends, we will all treasure the memories of his involvement and achievements.”
Added CEO Neil Dalrymple: “From all at World Bowls, we were very sad to hear of the passing of Barry Fleming, and we offer our sincere condolences to his family.”
“Barry was a director of World Bowls from 2008 to 2012 and during that time, he made an excellent contribution to the growth and development of World Bowls.
“Barry was a prominent player and administrator in Wales and was a well-known character who visited manty countries during his time in the sport.”
