Paul Foster MBE is a multiple world bowls champion. He plays at Troon Portland (outdoor) and Ambassador Prestwick (indoor) bowling clubs.
Foster has won four Commonwealth Games gold medals and 13 world indoor titles. Gold in the thrilling fours final, and silver in the pairs, in the 2018 Gold Coast Games took Foster to third on the all-time list of Scotland’s most successful Commonwealth Games athletes behind fellow bowler Alex Marshall MBE and sprinter Allan Wells.
Having won the WBT World indoor singles championship five times, Paul needs just one more win to join his close friend and frequent pairs partner Alex Marshall, who has won that title a record six times. One of Paul’s biggest honours in the game was receiving an MBE in 2014.
