World Bowls is pleased to announce the European two-day coaching event held before the 2022 European Bowls Championships in Ayr, Scotland last week was a great success.
The first European coaching event was held in Guernsey ahead of the 2019 European Championship, where 24 members from four member countries received introduction and level 1 qualifications,
‘This year 16 coaches from nine different member countries have qualified, the courses were funded from the World Bowls development funds, as upskilling coaches is vitally important to growing bowls globally’ added Garry Collins, World Bowls Regional Director for Europe.

Bowls Scotland’s Coach and Volunteer Manager, Adam Martin, said: ‘We are honoured to be delivering our excellent Coach Education programme to our fellow European nations.

‘We have been working closely with World Bowls and Bowls Europe Director, Garry Collins, it is fantastic to see Scotland leading the way in bowls coaching for others to expand their coaching knowledge and experiences,
